На Лондонской фондовой бирже (London Stock Exchange) назначение “делателем рынка” (market maker) продажной и покупной цены определенной ценной бумаги; при этом он обычно не знает, собирается ли тот, кто интересуется ценой, покупать или продавать. Назвав цену, “делатель рынка” обязан покупать или продавать по тем ценам, которые он назначил, хотя он может ограничить объемы продажи или покупки, сказав об этом при назначении цены.
